Had Blue fin, and Sea Urchin here for the first time. Great sushi and sake selection. Great service. Marco was very professional and attentive in spite of all the customers.

The Yellowtail Tataki is by far the best appetizer! Spicy but with a hint of sweetness makes you want to eat more. And a wide variety of rolls that you can pick from, plus the portion sizes here and bigger than other places.

The only reason why we decided to go to Akasaka is because we thought it might be a good place related to the good reviews, but once we got there for hibachi it was empty on Friday night! We sat there waiting and regretting our choice of this place. It's poorly designed and doesn't have the inviting feeling that you expect in a restaurant in the Dr Phillips area. So we thought maybe the food is gonna be good. We got the meso soup it wasn't good at all. The hibachi chef was nice but the food didn't taste good they charge extra 2 dollars per person for fried rice! We had a very bad experience at this place!

This restaurant is the best sushi in town. Sushi is really fresh and staff very friendly. I recommended crazy mama roll and lobster 007 👌 also so many sake options at this place! It’s amazing, You must try!!

Volcano Roll & Short Rib Benton Box was amazing!!!

Excellent sushi rolls. Has a selection of slightly harder to find Asian drinks like soju and plum wine. Atmosphere is hip and modern.

This is the best sushi restaurant in florida, i been traveling around the world. And i am amazed with the quality and freshness of the fish they serve in local.. service was awesome. Managers are nice. The owner even stop by my table give us a warm welcoming message. We will def coming back! Wish them the best .

Good, good, good! Puts all other sushi to shame. These people take their craft seriously and it shows. You may have to wait on your dish, but -Hey!-perfection takes time.

Horrible service, employees seem as if they don't want to be there. Renovations are farm-like and distasteful, server did not know what a flute glass was, server also had me open my own wine bottle, unprofessional environment and the tuna tower gave my wife food poisoning for days. Don't recommend for anyone looking to eat quality sushi.

I ate at the Hibachi grill and it was a very pleasant experience. I had the lobster, shrimp and scallops.

Service is terrible in the sense that the wait times are ridiculous. Took them 15 minutes to notice and have a host seat us and then once we were seated we waited another 25 minutes and when no one came to take our order we left. Everyone was very nice but I routinely have experiences an unreasonable wait time at this restaurant even when it is practically empty.

This operation replaced one like it there earlier. It is excellent. Great dishes done properly.

This place was previously Amura (the big sign still says Amura but the door does have the new name on it). The quality is still the same from the old restaurant which means thats it is still excellent. We had the mango tango, spicy tuna, volcano roll, the sea urchin, hamachi kama, and the fiery garlic shrimp. My favorite was the volcano roll and the mango tango. Everything was really good, but the sea urchin I wasnt too fond of, but others in the party enjoyed it. It was my first time having it. We also had the unfiltered lychee sake which was really excellent. Ive come here many times and always enjoy the food.

Wonderful service, excellent food. Had the spicy couch roll and a tuna dish that was recommended. Both were perfectly prepared. Spicy means hot, the scrahca was a bit heavy for my taste. Highlight for me was the octopus salad, outstanding! I was out the door for $47, which is about right for food of this quality.

Not good at all. We ordered a suchi sampler, gin tonic, miso soups and a mango tango roll. The server came in first with the "gin tonic" (TERRIBLE). About 10min later, she came with a sashimi sampler instead of the sushi sampler. I asked her if it was the sushi sampler, she said yes. I opened the menu, and told her that I asked for the sushi sampler. She replied questioning if I wanted to change it, which I replied yes, so she came 10min later with the right one. The mango tango roll was not bad, but not really good neither. The miso soup was simple, not super good and it did not even had tofu. We asked for the check, and it was $49 which I thought was overwhelming for the bad food quality and poor server attention. AND, the place has a humidity/rat smell.

Amazing sushi. Drinks are good. Love the rolls Royce and bubba! Tuna nachos are some of the best in Orlando. Highly recommend coming here for the sushi.

My experience at Akasaka was incredible not only was shocked about all the delicious sushi rolls, but the service was exceptional!! I highly recommend Akasaka.

The place was packed when we arrived and while it took 20 minutes for anyone to come to the table, the food and waiter saved the day. The waiter was fantastic and the food was even better, all the rolls were sooooooo good.

Randomly found this spot and LOVED it! First, the sushi was well prepared, presented nicely, and delicious! The service was prompt and friendly. The pricing was absolutely reasonable. And the bathrooms were clean. Great experience overall.

Mateo is the best restaurant manager ever! The decor and service is probably a notch above your expectations, amazing steak hibachi and volcano roll, other sushi had good quality rice and wasabi, cake was beautiful, and the location is very pleasant. It fits the plaza.

Delicious! Had the California roll made with snow crab instead of imitation crab, the spicy tuna roll, and the typhoon shrimp roll. First of all, I've never seen a California roll made with snow crab, keep in mind I love sushi, have been to some of the best sushi restaurants in Fla. It was the best, my mind was blown! So much flavor! I will definitely be returning to enjoy it again! Spicy tuna roll was awesome! Had the perfect amount of kick, not too spicy, but balanced very well with flavor! The typhoon shrimp roll was delicious as well! Sake was delicious as well! Our server was Marco Polo, he was awesome! Our experience at Akasaka Sushi was amazing! The sushi was fresh and very flavorful, and service was great! It was pricey $$$, but good fresh sushi is not cheap! I will definitely return, and recommend to ALL my friends and family!

I came to this restaurant all the way from miami, totally loved it. The service was another level, marco my server was amazing. I'll be back for sure.

When I heard that Amura was under new Management and was changing their name to Akasaka - I was filled with trepidation. I have enjoyed the Japanese food and excellent sushi at Amura for well over a decade. I need not have worried....yet. There was no drop in quality of food or service at Akasaka. The Volcano roll, the spicy tuna roll and the deluxe lunch box were all excellent.

Akasaka, also known as Amura is sad excuse for a restaurant. Below sub standard service and ambience, dirty and sticky atmosphere to top it off. It's basically a plywood box. We are scratching our heads why we actually stayed. Took a peek behind the dirty rag/blind that says "employees only" to call our waitress and noticed that the place is unsanitary, threw away our take home boxes afterwords.A truly horrible experience. Only positive part is the only one hibachi chef, he was nice and really tried. Completely understand why we were literally the only suckers there.
